At Casual Ballerz CIC, our private lab sessions provide players with the tools and environment to elevate their game, both technically and tactically. Over the past year, we’ve witnessed incredible growth from several dedicated players who trained in the lab. Their hard work, commitment, and talent have led to outstanding achievements on the field. Here’s a closer look at some of the remarkable success stories:

Carmen Hinton

Carmen joined our lab sessions last year, and her progress as a center-back has been nothing short of extraordinary. Through rigorous technical and tactical development, she became a standout player for City College, where she helped lead the team to an incredible season. Not only did they dominate the playoffs, but they also emerged as conference champions. Carmen’s hard work has paid off, as she now prepares to take the next step in her career—joining D1 San Jose State University.

In addition to her success at City College, Carmen has also been instrumental in the success of the SF Nighthawks, where she plays during the summer. Her leadership and defensive prowess are critical to the team’s performance.

Sydney Grundland-Lanuza & Kendall Carr

Sydney and Kendall have been training together in the lab for the past year, and their progress has been a joy to watch. Both players were instrumental in City College’s success this season, helping their team make a deep run in the playoffs. Although they narrowly missed lifting the national championship trophy, their performances throughout the season were nothing short of exceptional.

Sydney and Kendall also play for the SF Nighthawks in the summer, where they continue to showcase their skills and contribute to the team’s success. Their technical growth, tactical awareness, and competitive drive make them key figures on both teams.

Maya

Maya has been training with us for nearly a year and has developed into an outstanding forward. Her striking ability and goal-scoring prowess have significantly improved, thanks to her dedication to refining her technical skills. Maya’s hard work has earned her an invitation to participate in a Mexican national team training camp, a testament to her rapid growth and potential. We’re thrilled to see her thrive and look forward to her continued success on the international stage.

The Power of the Lab

The lab sessions at Casual Ballerz CIC are about more than just training—they’re about fostering growth, confidence, and success on and off the field. Carmen, Sydney, Kendall, and Maya are shining examples of what’s possible when players fully commit to their development.

We’re also proud of the connection many of our players share with the SF Nighthawks during the summer, as it serves as yet another platform for them to hone their skills and compete at a high level. The partnership between our lab training and their contributions to the Nighthawks reflects the full-circle impact of their dedication and passion for the game.

To all the players training in the lab: keep pushing, keep striving, and remember that the journey is just as important as the destination. We’re proud to support you every step of the way.

Here’s to more progress, more trophies, and more success!
